BREAKING: Thousands of Nigerian youths storm Abuja to pray for Buhari - Mhiz Rebecca - 09-08-2017
Thousands of Nigerian youths from the all states of
the federation on Friday, September 8, stormed the
Eagles Square, Abuja.
The event organized by the National Youths Council
of Nigeria is tagged 'National Prayer Summit'.
It's a three days fasting and prayers for national
unity, security and well-being of Nigeria's
economy, with today being the last day of the three-
day event.
The event which is under the chairmanship of
Ambassador Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo is in
partnership with Belema Foundation and Jack-rich
Tein Special Support Initiatives.
NAIJ.com observed that the arena was filled to the
brim by youths from different states of the
federation.
In a chat with NAIJ.com , one of the participants,
Shedrach Maduka from Delta state praised the
organizers for putting together the event.
His words: "At a time there is tension and agitation all
over the nation, this is the right time for such an event
so I commend them for this."
Another participant from Sokoto state, Abubakar
Abdullahi said the initiative will foster unity and
progress for the nation.
''Prayers are very important in our national life. Most
of the distractions in this country are spiritual so there
is a need for us to counter them in the spiritual realm,''
he said.
