Maikudi Mohammed and his accomplice, Damina Mohammed Credit: Punch According to the statement by Haruna Mohammed, the police public pelations officer, the man and his friend dug up the boy from his grave in Galambi village with the purpose of selling his head. The child is supposedly Mr Mohammed’s son who had died some time ago. The arrest became possible due to well- timed intelligence report. The police spokesman commented on the incident: “Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect conspired with his accomplice, one Damina Mohammed, male, (26) of the same address, and went to a grave yard in Galambi village and removed the head of a male child corpse in order to sell it to their customer now at large. The principal suspect confessed that the child was his son who died and was buried but he later went back to the graveyard at night with his accomplice and exhumed it.” The bizarre case is currnelty under thorough investigation after which suspects will be prosecuted. |
