The acting vice-chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Prof Anthony Elujoba has again declared his determination to continue to serve the institution without fear despite challenges of governance.
According to him, he was ready to devote all it takes to serve the institution successfully in his six months tenure and ready to face fire during the period.
Receiving the deputy governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kolapo Olusola in his office, Elujoba posited that God has a mission for bringing him on board particularly at this period.
“I was sent by God to come and serve at the time OAU was no longer acting great according to what it was known for due to incessant closure of the school due to workers unrest and paucity of funds.
“Efforts to generate funds internally is facing serious threat because many of the institutions businesses are now moribund,” he stated.
The question is, who among the Nigeria VC have a similar idea?
