The Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Kola Oluwawole, yesterday, described Saturday’s governorship election in the state as a litmus test for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the 2019 general elections.

A statement by his Special Assistant (Media), Stephen Gbadamosi, said the speaker stated this during a rally for the PDP candidate in the election, Professor Kolapo Olusola, at Osan-Ekiti and Erinmope in Moba Local Government Area of the state.

Accompanied by leaders of the party in the local government as well as thousands of PDP enthusiasts, Oluwawole lectured the mammoth crowd on how to cast their ballot, while appealing to them to vote massively for the PDP.

“We thank you for your usual support for the PDP. This time around, we have a heavy task in our hands. This governorship election will be the litmus test for 2019.

“Let us vote en masse for Professor Kolapo Olusola of the PDP. Our bet is continuity. We don’t want to return to Egypt. We are moving forward with the unprecedented development of our state,” he said.
