IMMEDIATE past Ekiti State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperative, Honourable Ayodele Michael, has urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to take former Governor Ayodele Fayose to court instead of detaining him indefinitely.

The Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has told senior public servants in the state to stick to the oath of allegiance which they swore to by being loyal to the state government rather than to an individual.

The Ekiti State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal on Friday in Abuja admitted as exhibits, electoral materials used in no fewer than 10 Local Government Areas and 109 Wards for the July 14, governorship elections.

Report by a section of the media that the immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, had started opening up on allegations of corruption made against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been described as false, misleading and a feeble attempt by the anti-graft agency to sustain its lies and campaign of calumny against the former governor.

The Debt Management Office has said that the immediate past administration of Mr Ayo Fayose had a debt profile of about N 120 billion as at June.
