A chieftain of the APC and an ardent supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari, Engr. Kailani Muhammed has commended the CNY for the withdrawal of quit notice to the Igbo from the northern part of Nigeria.
In a press statement issued in Abuja, Dr. Muhammed said the decision was timely “and could douse tension wickedly created by secessionists.”
The politician called on elders from the South East to inculcate morality into their wards to avoid unnecessary tension.
“Those beating the drums of war don’t know the danger of time-bomb they are nurturing, and perhaps they were not born or were too young to witness the severity of the civil war which negative impact still lingers and the wounds not necessarily healed,” he said.
He commended President Buhari for the national broadcast he delivered last Monday, in which he sent a warning to anti-peace elements.
