Barring any last minute change of decision, the Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO) will organise a mega rally in Abuja on October 1.
The date of the planned rally which coincides with the Nigeria’s independence anniversary is expected to have Buhari’s supporters nationwide in attendance.
Addressing newsmen at the BCO office yesterday, in Abuja, the National Coordinator of the Organisation, Alhaji Danladi Pasali, said the Buhari support groups would use the occasion to bring to public knowledge the achievements of the present administration.
Pasali said the BCO has set up “a powerful committee” that would anchor the rally which he explained would also address the issues of hate speech, corruption and unity of the nation. “We want to tell the world the quality and achievements of Mr President. This is the purpose of Buhari Campaign Organisation and this time around we want to tell the world on October 1,” he said.
He said some people within the Buhari cabinet were not in support of his giant strides but stressed that about 17 governors on the APC platform were ready to support the president for a second term in 2019.
