It was a tragedy too many on the evening of Sunday 19th March, 2017 at round 5pm that a Medical Practitioner committed suicide by jumping from the third mainland bridge inward Adekunle into the lagoon.
This sad incident occurred when the Doctor who has been identified as Orji was seating in his Nissan SUV and was driven along the third mainland bridge by his driver and he received a call on his cell phone, ordered his driver to halt the car and when the driver did pull over; he stepped out and plunged into the lagoon.
Meanwhile an instalgram user who also doubled as an eyewitness wrote this piece “I witnessed the worst thing ever today!! The owner of this particular car jumped into the lagoon right in front of me!!! I saw him get out of his car, then jumped, I was directly behind him, I parked and ran as fast as my legs could carry me but it was too late…..
"I wish he had waited a little longer, I wish I was able to stop him, I wish I was about to hold his hands, I wish he could tell me what the problem was!!!!!
The vehicle and the driver have been taken to Adekunle Police Station for interrogation.
