Harry Kane loves Cristiano Ronaldo. He asked for
CR7’s shirt after Tottenham’s recent match against
Real Madrid and later described the four-time Ballon
d’Or winner as his “role model”, saying he would
frame the shirt and put it in a highly visible part of his
house, such as the downstairs toilet. Lovely stuff.
But does Cristiano Ronaldo love Harry Kane? It
seemed that way when the pair swapped sweaty
garments and tenderly embraced at the Bernabeu last
month. But it turns out the Portuguese forward has
just been humouring Harry all along. According to
today’s Mirror , Cristiano doesn’t love Kane at all.
In fact, he believes the Tottenham striker is
“overpriced” and will attempt to “stop” Kane’s
potential move to Madrid.

Is it up to him? Not officially, but Ronaldo will
reportedly “use his considerable influence” at the
Bernabeu to scupper the move.
He thinks Real should target Chelsea’s Eden Hazard
instead, which would conveniently allow Cristiano to
move into the centre-forward position that is likely to
be vacated by the misfiring Karim Benzema.
That way, Cristiano could score more goals, which in
turn would provide more opportunities to take off his
top in celebration, which is the most important thing.
Watford duo in demand
Meanwhile, Spurs are allegedly considering bringing in
Watford’s 20-year-old Brazilian forward Richarlison to
provide some back-up for Kane in their attack. The
Mirror says Tottenham scouts have been “regulars” at
Hornets matches this season, and they weren’t there
to watch Heurelho Gomes.
