The infrastructural development of Ekiti State has taken a leap with the construction of the first flyover to improve traffic flow in the state capital, Ado Ekiti and open it up for more development.

At the inspection of the project on Friday, Governor Ayodele Fayose said that the overhead bridge would enhance the aesthetic of the state capital.
Also at the site was the Commissioner for Works, Funmilayo Oguns.

She said that the over five billion Naira project would bring more development to the state capital. Mrs Oguns stated that the idea of the overhead bridge was to ease mobility and movement, pointing out that many state capitals are congested due to lack of proper planning.

The Commissioner also urged the people of the state to continue to support Governor Fayose’s administration to enable it do more in the area of development.
The contractor of the flyover that spans from Fajuyi to Ojumose area of the state, Mr Paul Chiamah, said the 1.2 kilometer overhead bridge would be completed in 18 months.
